Server crash due to buffer_head deadlocks spinning on BH_Uptodate_Lock
Issue
- Server crashed while trying to acquire a bit-spinlock for a buffer_head I/O structure.
- Server crashed due to tasks blocked waiting in softirq state.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- ext4 with a block size smaller than page size (for example, a 1kB blocksize with a 4kB page size on x86_64)
