Where are NetworkManager's configuration files for ip-tunnel connections?

Issue

I set up an ip-tunnel connection type in NetworkManager, but I do not see the configuration file in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts
I made a GRE, IPIP, or IPIP6 configuration file in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ for use with network.service, but NetworkManager does not see this file even though NM_CONTROLLED=no is not set
