  • Running kadmin from RHEL6 produces the follow log message on a RHEL5 kerberos master's kadmind log:

    Apr 28 10:26:14 kerberos.blah.com kadmind[30641](Notice): Request: kadm5_init, user/admin@BLAH.COM, API version specified by application is unknown to
server (to fix, obtain and install newest KADM5 Admin Server), client=user/admin@BLAH.COM, service=kadmin/admin@BLAH.COM, addr=10.10.10.201, flavor=6
