Retrieving stored values from JBoss vault

Issue

• We have a requirement to perform encryption and decryption of specific strings within the application. Can JBoss vault be used by our application to encrypt sensitive strings?
• Can you advice on run time APIs to interact with the vault and retrieve the password to perform encryption/decryption ?
• Can the vault tool be used remotely? or through an api? or do we know what the commands it executes so we can expose those through an API ourselves?
• Is there a way in the JBoss EAP to get the protected Vault secrets or passwords in clear text or decrypted form so that it can be used in the application deployed on the server ?
• How to decrypt values stored in vault?
• Decrypt password in vault file. We'd like to confirm that if we can decrypt and see in clear text the stored passwords of the vault keystore file ?
