Is it possible to take live backup of the database on a Red Hat Satellite server without stopping the Satellite services?

As per satellite documentation, the following steps are required to backup the embedded Oracle database on satellite server:
# /usr/sbin/rhn-satellite stop # su - oracle -c "/usr/bin/db-control backup /proj/sat_serv/oracle_databse" # /usr/sbin/rhn-satellite start -
Is it possible to perform a live backup of the Satellite's database without stopping all of the services?
