Cannot load intel-rng kernel module

Issue

When trying to load hardware random number generator module intel-rng modprobe

[root@server ~]# modprobe intel-rng
FATAL: Error inserting intel_rng (/lib/modules/2.6.18-308.el5/kernel/drivers/char/hw_random/intel-rng.ko): No such device

[root@server ~]# ll /lib/modules/2.6.18-308.el5/kernel/drivers/char/hw_random/intel-rng.ko
-rwxr--r-- 1 root root 45864 Jan 27  2012 /lib/modules/2.6.18-308.el5/kernel/drivers/char/hw_random/intel-rng.ko
