When dhclient assigns an IPv6 address learned via DHCPv6 it always does so with a /64 prefix
Issue
- IPv6 routing does not work as expected when using the legacy network service scripts and a network range other than /64, such as /96 or /112.
- No matter what, when
DHCPV6C=yes
is set in an ifcfg file, the DHCPv6 address provided by the lease is assigned with a /64 prefix:
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8, 7, 6
