Issue

  • Why glusterd service script doesn't stop glusterfsd ?

When I tried to stop glusterd service, it seems that glusterfsd still available.

]# /etc/init.d/glusterd stop
]# ps auxw | grep glusterfsd
root 12006 0.0 0.7 151372 7800 ? Ssl 10:05 0:00 /usr/sbin/glusterfsd -s localhost --volfile-id test.rhs1.test1 -p /var/lib/glusterd/vols/test/run/rhs1-test1.pid -S /tmp/3b32f1afe857d24036d7fc5333c8dc50.socket --brick-name /test1 -l /var/log/glusterfs/bricks/test1.log --xlator-option *-posix.glusterd-uuid=b9cdc4b1-2dd9-4a8e-a66a-769b8f70f602 --brick-port 24010 --xlator-option test-server.listen-port=24010

In other version , I rememvered that glusterd service script stopped glusterfsd process.
Why is this change made ?

Resolution

There is no resolution, but former versions (for example, glusterfs-server-3.3.0.5rhs-37.el6rhs.x86_64.rpm) works fine. An internal bug, BZ#958389, has been filed.

Note:

The bug, BZ#958389, was closed as EOL, and a new internal bug, BZ#1294754, was created as RFE in RHS3.1.
