Unable to put the storage domain into maintenance for removal.
Environment
- Red Hat Virtualization 4.x
Issue
- The storage domain is not going into maintenance mode with below error:
Error while executing action: Cannot deactivate domain, the domain contains leases for the following running VMs: vm1, vm2, vm3
Resolution
- Remove the VM lease configured on the particular storage domain.
Login into RHV-M UI/Webadmin
Click Compute -> Virtual Machine --> Select/Search for the VM in question
Click Edit
Click "Show Advanced Options"
Click High Availability
Target Storage Domain for VM Lease --> No VM Lease --> Click OK.
Now configure another Storage Domain to hold the lease.
Click Compute -> Virtual Machine --> Select/Search for the VM in question
Click Edit
Click "Show Advanced Options"
Click High Availability
Target Storage Domain for VM Lease --> <Select another Storage Domain> --> Click OK.
