How to make farmed deployments not synchronise automatically on EAP 5

Issue

We have a cluster of nodes running JBoss EAP 5.1.2 and find that programs (e.g. war, ear) deployed in the "farm" directory of one node are automatically synchronized to other nodes if the date of the program file is newer. We would like to know if it is possible to disable program synchronization while keeping session replication working among the clustered nodes.
