Unable to sync RHEL 7.4 and RHEL 7.5 EUS channel after upgrade to Red Hat Satellite 5.8

Issue

  • After upgrade from Satellite 5.7 to 5.8 cannot access latest EUS channels.
  • Unable to use cdn-sync to find new repositories.

  • Getting below error while trying to sync EUS channel after upgrade:

    # cdn-sync -v  -c rhel-x86_64-server-7.4.eus
10:32:20 ERROR: Channel 'rhel-x86_64-server-7.4.eus' not found in channel metadata mapping.
10:32:20 Total time: 0:00:00
ERROR: these channels either do not exist or are not available for synchronization:
  rhel-x86_64-server-7.4.eus
