MDB running in JBoss EAP cannot connect to Remote HornetQ

Issue

We are finding difficult to migrate one our MDB which listen to remote HornetQ. It never appears to connect and simply says:

awaiting for topic/queue creation jms/myQueue.  

MDB looks like this.
