Why PXE boot of RHEL7 server connected to Arista switch fails ?

Issue

  • When tried to PXE boot a RHEL7.4 server, the interface on the server was blocked by Arista switch.
  • Is it like server is sending BPDU packets which could get block on switch level ? If at all yes, which service/component can send BPDU packets ? And how to disable it ?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4 PXE boot
  • Arista switch with BPDU guard enabled
