Monitoring Red Hat 3scale API Management 2.X On-premises

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We need to know how we can/should monitor 3scale (we are using Nagios XI). Of course, we can use curl checks for the public services (APIcast, Management Portal, Developer Portal) to verify if they return the correct HTTP response codes, but there might be better ways to validate the up-and-running status of 3scale AMP. Should we use the internal 3scale AMP API for this? Or do we need to use the readiness/liveness probes from OpenShift?

Environment
