RHEL5.8 cluster hanging when trying to accessing GFS2 filesystem
Issue
- The cluster hung again and I can't access my gfs2 filesystem.
- Why did the GFS2 freeze?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 5 (with the High Availability and Resilient Storage Add Ons)
- Issue observed on kernel-2.6.18-308.8.2.el5. It is currently unknown which (if any) other kernels are affected.
- 2 or more nodes in a Red Hat High Availability Cluster
- One or more GFS2 shared filesystem mounted on more than 1 node
- Filesystem becomes unresponsive seemingly at random.
