Timestamps for repository synchronization plans not updated on the GUI after upgrading Red Hat Satellite 6.

Environment

  • Red Hat Satellite 6.4

Issue

  • Sync plans created on freshly installed Red Hat Satellite 6.3 do not update their timestamps on neither the Products page nor the individual repos page.
  • Although the sync plan runs in the background, it's timestamp is not updated on Red Hat Satellite GUI after upgrading from 6.3 to 6.4.

Resolution

  • A Bugzilla #1724000 is in place for this as the sync plan after being triggered does not update the timestamp.
  • The workaround is to call the Sync plan through REST API:
# curl -u admin -k -H 'content-type: application/json' -X PUT https://satellite.example.com/katello/api/organizations/1/sync_plans/1/sync
