Unable to view VM console due to missing /sbin/agetty

Issue

Unable to start Getty on tty1 due to missing /sbin/agetty - There may be logs similar to:

Mar 14 08:38:33 VMname systemd: Started Getty on tty1.
Mar 14 08:38:33 VMname systemd: Starting Getty on tty1...
Mar 14 08:38:38 VMname systemd: Failed at step EXEC spawning /sbin/agetty: No such file or directory
Mar 14 08:38:38 VMname systemd: getty@tty1.service has no holdoff time, scheduling restart.
