Issue

  • building a deployment pipeline that includes JBoss EAP xPaaS Image for OpenShift.
  • build the complete JBoss Application Server configuration with CLI and to use environment variables within OpenShift environment.
  • using CLI with embedded server option to be able to define values of configuration properties with env. variables instead of exact values (this is not possible when server is started in normal or admin mode).
  • Is there another option that needs to be used or some other command?

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 7.1.0
  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 3.7
  • Red Hat JBoss EAP xPaaS Image for OpenShift
  • jboss-cli.sh is used during Docker image build phase in OpenShift.
  • in jboss-cli.sh using the following
    • embed-server --server-config=standalone-openshift.xml --std-out=echo.
