Why cloud-init configures the NIC inspite of disabling cloud-init service in the kickstart file for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host ?
Issue
- Why cloud-init configures the NIC despite of disabling cloud-init service in the kickstart file for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host ?
- kickstart already includes the below line. After installation, when the system boots, cloud-init configures the NIC to use dhcp.
services --disabled cloud-init,cloud-config,cloud-final,cloud-init-local
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host 7.4
- Baremetal installation using kickstart
- Static ip address configuration for NIC via kickstart
