Although pciehp is built-in, how can I disable it?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Builtin drivers can not be disabled, even if problems occur in the driver or hardware.
  • The PCI(e) hotplug slots can be controlled by two or more drivers. If one driver is built as builtin, it'll initialize and control hotplug slots earlier than any other drivers, so the other drivers can't be used.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
