Logrotate is not rotating /var/log/osad logs in RHEL7

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • In RHEL7 logrotate ignores /etc/logrotate.d/osad and throws error:
logrotate --verbose /etc/logrotate.conf
reading config file /etc/logrotate.conf
including /etc/logrotate.d
reading config file aide
reading config file cups
Ignoring osad because of bad file mode.
  • logrotate fails to rotate /var/log/osad logs because it has (664) permissions instead of (644) permissions.
