Very poor performance of HornetQ paging subsystem.

What we are observing, is when one of the consumer is slow, then the paging starts for that particular queue, we see that it is blocking other queue consumer as well. We can see the WARNING logs in server logs of queue servers as below.
WARN [org.hornetq.core.server.impl.QueueImpl] (RMI TCP Connection(1820)-10.0.0.2) Queue jms.queue.myXYZ was busy for more than 1000 miliseconds. There are possibly consumers hanging on a network operation.
