[RHEL 6] Unable to install Citrix Receiver 13.7 because of missing dependencies

Issue

We would like to install Citrix Receiver 13.7 on our RHEL 6 servers but the installation is failing with a dependency error:

~> /opt/Citrix/ICAClient/selfservice --icaroot /opt/Citrix/ICAClient 
/opt/Citrix/ICAClient/wfica: /lib64/libz.so.1: version `ZLIB_1.2.3.3' not found (required by /opt/Citrix/ICAClient/wfica)

How to update the zlib package to satisfy the dependency?

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • Citrix Receiver 13.7
