How do I disable the automatic syncing of a capsule during a Content View Publish/Promotion in Red Hat Satellite 6.x?

Issue

Publishing and promoting a number of Content Views at once can each trigger a sync to the relevant Red Hat Satellite Capsules, if the Lifecycle Environment pertains to that capsule. When a number of Publish/Promotes are done together, each one triggers a sync to the capsule.

Would like the ability to disable this automatic syncing, perform the relevant Content View publishes and promotions, and then enable the capsule syncing afterwards for efficiency.
