Container not showing extended memory

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Node servers (Virtual Machine) have been updated RAM from let's say 32GB to 64GB. Restarted the pods on the nodes to check if the container is showing increased RAM or not.
  • From # docker stats output, Containers are still referring to prior value of RAM.
  • Does it require to restart the docker daemon on the node?
  • After getting an effect on increased RAM, "free -mh" on the node suddenly raise the buffer/cache memory.

Environment

  • Red Hat Openshift Container Platform (RHOCP)
    • 3
