gnome-shell-extension-tool fails in RHEL 7.4

Issue

  • 'gnome-shell-extension-tool' command fails with the following error in RHEL 7.4.
$ gnome-shell-extension-tool
  File "/usr/bin/gnome-shell-extension-tool", line 152
    print("%r is already enabled." % (uuid,), file=sys.stderr)
                                                ^

SyntaxError: invalid syntax
  • It works well in RHEL 7.3.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.4
  • gnome-shell-3.22.3-17
