How to specify excluded owners in an User Task in BPM Suite 6.4 / RHPAM 7?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Environment

  • Red Hat JBoss BPM Suite
    • 6.4.x
  • Red Hat Process Automation Manager (RHPAM)
    • 7.x

Issue

  • I read about excluded owners in the documentation but don't see a field for that in user task in the diagram editor. We're using JBDS 10. Is it something that's only exposed when using swimlanes? Is there a natural way to do this?

Resolution

ExcludedOwnerId is an user property which is not exposed through interface. In order to set it, it is needed to define a data input with the name of the property, and then set the desired value in the assignment section. Please refers to BPM Suite 6.4 Development Guide for further details.

There are some issues related to this property in BPM Suite 6.4.4 and previous versions, therefore please update your instance to Red Hat JBoss BPM Suite 6.4 Update 5 or latest updates which already contain the fix.
