How to disable fibre channel port via command line in Red Hat Enterprise Linux?
Issue
- For SAN testing purposes want to create a script to run on a server that will disable or activate a fibre channel port.
- I have no SAN LUNs attached to a system, can I disable the fiber HBA so I do not see these lookup messages in the logs?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 4, 5, 6 and 7
- fiber host bus adapter (HBA)
