RHN Registration, yum or other RHN utilities fail with segmentation fault

Issue

• RHN Registration, yum or other RHN utilities fail with segmentation fault
• I see the following errors in /var/log/messages:

• In other occurrence of the issue:

• In yet another case, yum segfaulted with:
