JBoss ON data purge job fails with "ORA-00942: table or view does not exist" when database user does not own the database schema

Issue

  • During cleanup task I get the following error in the server log:

    ERROR [org.rhq.enterprise.server.scheduler.jobs.DataPurgeJob] Failed to compress measurement data. Cause: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

  • Data purge job fails when TRUNCATE TABLE is executed

Environment

  • JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.1, 3.1.1, 3.1.2
  • Oracle database used by JBoss ON server
  • Database schema is not owned by the JBoss ON database user
  • JBoss ON database user does not have the DROP ANY TABLE system privilege
