chgrp on NFS share is failing after some time on Red Hat Enterprise Linux

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The following error is reported when running chrgp on one particular system. When running the same command on a different system but on the same mount it works. After rebooting the system everything works again for a while before we start seeting the issue again on one node. Behavior is then the same. One one node, chgrp is failing while it continue to work on the other node which has the same NFS mount and thus us using the same file.
