How to block ICMP packets using iptables?

Issue

Administrator  suspect your system has suffered an attack by the ICMP protocol. An attacker can  violate all authentication protocols based on the system date. The solution is to filter incoming ICMP timestamp  requests and send ICMP timestamp replies.
