Is it possible to create a global variable in MetaMatrix Designer ?

Issue

• Looking at the Designer documentation for the declaration of a variable; "After you declare a variable, you can use it in that block within the procedure and any sub-blocks".
• What if I want the variable to persist outside of that procedure to other spawned procedures and subsequent queries?
• Is there any construct for this please and will this only be available to that current process thread.
