Slow printing of text files in RHEL 7
Issue
Printing is slow when using a local network attached printer using the lp command. For example, a 600K text document took 6 minutes to print the entire 68 letter size pages; it took 90 seconds for the printer to start printing; the printer prints 4 pages then pauses several seconds until it prints the next 4 pages.
