kudzu sets ONBOOT=yes in ifcfg files it creates during startup in RHEL 5

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Upon installation anaconda sets ONBOOT=no for unused network devices (as expected).  However if these files are removed and kudzu is allowed to recreate them, it sets them to ONBOOT=yes, which is not desirable for several reasons.

  • Looking for a way to configure kudzu to set  ONBOOT=no when creating network config files

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.3
  • kudzu
