How can I enable EJB Authentication using x509 certificates on JBoss EAP 6?

At present we have plain text username/password security for EJBs in our application. The plan is to replace this with x509 certificates based authentication. I search the documentation but didn’t find any good example describing x509 certificates based authentication.
