Logrotate is regularly rotating /var/log/messages but system is still generating logs in rotated log file.
Issue
- Logrotate is configured to keep 28 rotations and /var/log/messages is being rotated regularly but system is still using /var/log/messages.17 instead of /var/log/messages for new log entries.
