How do I configure a stonith device to only be used for specific nodes in a RHEL 6 or 7 High Availability cluster with pacemaker?

Issue

  • I have a two-node cluster, and each node has its own iLO. It seems by default a stonith device is considered eligible to be used for all nodes. How can I restrict the devices to just a single node?
  • I have different fence devices for different nodes, and I want to configure stonith to only use each device for the right node.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 and 7 with the High Availability Add On
  • One or more fence devices that is applicable only for a subset of nodes in the cluster
