Unable to register RHEL 4 guest with RHN Satellite 5.3

We have a RHEL 4 system that we are trying to get registered with our satellite server and are receiving an "An error has occurred. OpenSSL.SSL.Error" message

I tried an up2date -l from a system, and got back; "SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE, "certificate verify failed.""
