Proxies cause the docker_image_availability check to fail during OpenShift installation

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • Advanced installation failed because docker_image_availability failed:

    Host: ose36-node1.example.com
    Play: Verify Requirements
    Task: openshift_health_check
Message: One or more checks failed
    Details: check "docker_image_availability":
One or more required Docker images are not available:
                  openshift3/ose-deployer:v3.6.173.0.5,
                  openshift3/ose-docker-registry:v3.6.173.0.5,
                  openshift3/ose-haproxy-router:v3.6.173.0.5,
                  openshift3/ose-pod:v3.6.173.0.5,
                  registry.access.redhat.com/openshift3/registry-console
              Configured registries: registry.access.redhat.com

  • I confirmed that docker pull can pull these images. Why does the ansible installer report as failed?
  • OpenShift install fails on openshift_disable_check=docker_image_availability.

Environment

  • OpenShift Container Platform 3.6, 3.7
