How can ID mapping verbose logging be enabled on an NFSv4 Red Hat Enterprise Linux client after release 6.3?

Issue

On a Red Hat Enterprise Linux system, newer than 6.3, NFSv4 client with ID mapping enabled and without the rpcidmapd service, verbose logging for the ID mapper needs to be enabled.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3+.
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
  • NFSv4 client.
  • ID mapping is enabled.
  • The RPC ID mapper service (rpcidmapd service/rpc.idmapd daemon) is stopped.
