Issue

  • When does sosreport plugin option "logs.log_days" actually work?

  • I ran sosreport and found the plugin option did not work. I see messages files and other log files on multiple days as shown below:

$ sudo sosreport -k logs.log_days=1
...

$ sudo tar Jxf sosreport-hostname-yyyymmddhhmmss.tar.xz
$ cd sosreport-hostname-yyyymmddhhmmss
$ ls var/log
anaconda  cron   httpd     messages-20170604  messages-20170626  secure           secure-20170618  Xorg.0.log  Xorg.3.log
audit     cups   mariadb   messages-20170612  rhsm               secure-20170604  secure-20170626  Xorg.1.log  Xorg.9.log
boot.log  dmesg  messages  messages-20170618  sa                 secure-20170612  tuned            Xorg.2.log  yum.log
