  • After updating biosdevname-0.3.11-1.el6.x86_64 package to version biosdevname-0.3.11-1.el6_3.1.x86_64, the NIC interfaces are getting renamed in an in correct way.

  • The interfaces were getting renamed properly in version 0.3.11-1.el6.x86_64. Why does it happens?

  • How to fix this issue?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.4

  • Biosdevname-0.3.11-1.el6_3.1.x86_64 package.

  • DELL servers.
