Why does NIC device names changes in an improper way after updating biodevname to version 0.3.11-1.el6_3.1.x86_64 in RHEL6?

After updating biosdevname-0.3.11-1.el6.x86_64 package to version biosdevname-0.3.11-1.el6_3.1.x86_64, the NIC interfaces are getting renamed in an in correct way.

The interfaces were getting renamed properly in version 0.3.11-1.el6.x86_64. Why does it happens?
