Messages in syslog: "strange observation, the queue depth is (64) meanwhile fw queue depth (65)"
Issue
- After an update to the most kernel-2.6.18-194.el5, the following messages are seen daily in /var/log/messages:
Apr 22 07:03:52 xxx-xx-xxx kernel: sd 0:1:0:0: strange observation, the queue depth is (64) meanwhile fw queue depth (65)
Apr 22 07:11:17 xxx-xx-xxx kernel: sd 0:1:0:0: strange observation, the queue depth is (64) meanwhile fw queue depth (65)
Apr 22 07:18:42 xxx-xx-xxx kernel: sd 0:1:0:0: strange observation, the queue depth is (64) meanwhile fw queue depth (65)
- The same systems do not do not show this error when they're booted into the RHEL-5.4 kernel
