Kickstart does not assign address when multiple interfaces are present

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Kickstart fails to allocate an interface at boot
  • Installation fails with the below message:

Not assigning 10.39.14.200 to interface ens38, cause it's already assigned!

  • How do I kickstart an install using NFS storage on a specific interface?

  • When using the below kernel line parameters the kickstart installation fails:

    linux ks=nfs: 10.39.14.203:/depotux/OS/linux_build/ks/KS.cfg network --device=eth1 ip=10.39.14.200 netmask=255.255.254.0

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7
  • Kickstart
