Getting 'mount error 20 = Not a directory' when trying to mount a Windows share from RHEL5

Issue

Unable to mount a Windows share.  Getting the following error:

# mount -t cifs -o username=DOMAIN/user,password=password //192.168.25.6/interfaces/SD/i-SD99-005/raw /mnt/interfaces/
...

mount error 20 = Not a directory

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3
  • Using CIFS to mount a share from Windows 2003
