The open-vm-tools executed snapshot scripts are not writing logs into /tmp

Issue

• When running a snapshot for a virtual machine, we are trying to use the /usb/sbin/post-thaw-script and /usr/sbin/pre-freeze-script to run jobs before and after the snapshot. When verifying that they are executing, we are using log messages written to /tmp/, but these are not present following a snapshot.
