Unable to run a Camel route inside JBoss Developer Studio 8.1.0.

Issue

When trying to start a Camel route (Maven based project) inside JBoss Developer Studio (JBDS) 8.1.0 using the menu Run As -> Local Camel Context, the route fails to start with this error:

Launching Executing clean package in C:\Users\tmielke\workspace\mydemo has encountered a problem. Can't determine packaging type because given pom file reference is null.

All other project operations such as project build, maven build goals execute just fine in JBDS.

  • Windows
