Why Prometheus is monitoring wrong OpenShift Node IPs ?
Issue
When using Prometheus to monitor OpenShift Nodes, when the nodes are configured to use openshift_cloudprovider_kind=openstack , it tries to monitor non-OpenShift IPs and reports connection problems.
Environment
- OpenShift Container Platform 3.4
- Prometheus as monitoring platform
- Node with more than 1 IP, and some IPs not reachable from Prometheus
