Why "SCTP ABORT" is sent for "SCTP COOKIE_ECHO" once failover is done from one node to other node configured in Cluster HA?

Issue

With a HA environment where there are approximately 200 sctp connections established to the active node. When the traffic is diverted to the other node in the cluster, for a couple of sctp incoming connections ABORT is sent after receiving COOKIE_ECHO from the client.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7.
  • sctp protocol.
  • HA Environment.
